Ummm... Wrong!
Feb. 3rd, 2008 04:09 pmAs I'm prone to doing from time to time, I Google "Steven Banks" in the hope that I find news that PBS finally did the right thing and released the 13 episodes of The Steven Banks Show to DVD. No such luck. I did read the Wikipedia entry on Steven Banks and found an error.

quantumswordsmn and I watched it more than once. I may even have it on tape, though I have to check. I can see why they may not have wanted to air it because it was very... well... Miss Janie was naughtily suggestive. Her childrens' show song was about being her "special friend" and how she wanted to "play with you." Steven Banks would watch the show because he was obsessed with her. In fact, during one scene while he's watching, he's eating cereal (as he often did on the show) and the box is next to him. If you pay attention closely to the box you'll notice that while on quick glance it looks like Mueslix, the name is actually "Muelsex." *tsktsk*
I really need to see if I have it on tape. Maybe I'll watch my old, crappy, staticy tape copies of Steven Banks today. Oooh! Maybe I'll check YouTube in the hopes someone there has it!

Squeeeeeeeeee! Someone posted Rock Auction! That's the episode where he buys Julian Lennon's guitar case really cheap thinking he bought John Lennon's guitar really cheap. The guest cameo in that one was Peter Tork. I don't think I have that one on tape, or if I do it was one of the really crummy, staticy ones. Woohoo!
