Camera Help
Jul. 29th, 2008 12:30 pmI have questions and I'm hoping someone reading this might have answers.
I found my first camera (it used to be my Gram's but she gave it to me when I was a wee one). It's an OLD Kodak Instamatic 104 and takes 126 film. I know I can still get 126 cartridges online from a couple of sources even though production stopped in April of last year. That's not so much the trouble. Does anyone know if it's film I can still get developed? If so, does anyone know where?
I don't know why, but I just have this desire to take photos with this seriously old camera. I'm curious to see if it still works and what the photos will look like compared to modern cameras.
I'm also wondering if there are still flashcubes available for it...
EDIT:
Thanks
merrick42 for the information! Wal-Mart does send out 126 for developing. I may use the camera now while I still can. FrugalPhotographer.com still sells 126 cartridges for $8 each (minimum order of 3) but their stock will only last until 2010. So I figure if I use the camera at least a couple of times between now and then I can enjoy having some fun with it before it's completely useless.
