Yesterday we spent the day hanging out with Ang, which was super awesome! We started the day by visiting the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center for New Hampshire Day.
We had a wonderful time and saw a lot of cool animals. The place has expanded tremendously since last time we went only a handful of years ago. I remember going there as a samll child and the main building then was not the main building last time we went. The main building last time we went was not the main building this time. Perhaps there will be yet a different main building next time we visit? Is it perhaps like nesting dolls in reverse, where we keep finding bigger and bigger buildings every time?
Anyhow, after a fun and interesting trip to the science center we stopped for a quick eat and went to Ang's house to visit. On the way we passed through Sandwich. It is a very small and almost entirely still colonial looking village, whcih I can only describe as the town I always dreamed of living in. Very charming!
At Ang's place we got to meet her bird Jup, who seemed to take a liking to Kathy very readily. We got to meet Ang's parents who seem like very nice people. After munching on delicious nachos prepared by Ang's mother, we retired to the basement to watch a couple episodes of Venture Brothers season two and Eddie Izzard. All of which was hilarious and very fun!
Ang's mother prepared a delicious hamburger and potato salad dinner. It was very filling and most tasty! After dinner we learned how to play Rook because I was a dolt and forgot Carcassonne and Totally Renamed Spy Game. :(
We had a great time and we're both looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for having us over Ang!
