So did your mom give you crap for that day? She didn't really speak to me much on the drive to drop me off at home after she dropped you off at your piano lesson. She certainly wasn't happy when she picked us up on the walk back to your house.

Probably. She was pretty much mad at me for three years straight. Then she just gave up and let me do whatever I wanted.

I think she over-reacted a little bit back then. I could have been much less well-behaved, and I certainly could have engaged in riskier behaviour.

Now that you mention it, I remember that. Whenever I would go over to visit she would constantly check in every fewminutes or so. I remember once we went upstairs and she insisted your door had to be open and she went upstairs, too, to do some sewing or something. I was pretty fortunate in that regard, I guess. My parents basically said not to do certain things, but if I did make sure I did them safe (use condoms, give the keys to friends, etc.).

Yeah, formal introductions would be cool someday. I have to admit I somewhat envy the ability all y'all living down in the Cambridge/Somerville area have to get together at various places and hang out. I love living up here in the north but sometimes I feel a bit isolated. I've gotten a little happier about visiting Boston and occasionally getting a shot of culture. I'm looking forward to going to see Blue Man Group at the Charles in March with Kathy, quantumswordsmn and his wife!
