Lagging on the posting again. Yeah, I know. Not much exciting to read about one's personal life, but its all I've got right now. I hope it entertains!
I had a wonderful time visiting with the family on Thanksgiving. I'll never get tired of being Uncle Jamie! I had so much fun wrestling and hanging out with and playing junglegym for my nephews and niece. It's so much fun! Aside from a couple uncomfortable moments of GLBT-bashing from my Dad and his friend it was actually a very enjoyable visit. I'm looking forward to visiting when they celebrate Christmas, too.
I'm just getting over a rather miserable week-long stomach flu and respiratory infection combo. For the most part I fought it off naturally, but toward the end I took some ibuprofen to kill the coughing headache and some cheap Imodium knock-off to kill the incessant runs. Almost a week of clear liquids was a challenge but it did wonders to hydrate me and help me lose some weight.
Otherwise things are well. The bills are getting paid (albeit just barely) and I'm enjoying my time off. I'm probably going to continue looking for a new job. Don't think I'll get anywhere with my current employer. Not a bad thing, just need to recognize when it's run its course is all.
