Be sure to call your Congresspersons today and thank them for trying their hardest to screw you over with the telecom rewrite.
Just remember: they'll tell you your cable bill will go down with more choice. It's the same thing they said in 1996 when they rewrote the Telecommunications Act then, too. If it worked last time, they wouldn't be trying again. If we couldn't trust them to tell the truth (or be smart enough to know any better) ten years ago, how can we trust that they know any better now?
Oh, sure. This new rewrite will give you chice: which company do I want raking me over the coals... cable or telephone?
