Long, long ago, in a college radio station 15 miles away, a friend of ours named Kelly had a radio show that was great listening. She taped one night for us and it is by far one of our favorite set of "mix tapes" that we own. So I decided to compile a list of songs from that show and make discs from the list. I have identified most of the songs but I need help. If anyone knows the following songs from what limited clues I can give I would greatly appreciate help. I plan to ask Kelly at some point but anyone else that knows her understands it's nigh-impossible to reach her.

UNKNOWN 1: This is mostly just music but it starts with this harmonized "Back on the road" and has some really processed vocals that sound like "I'm the great pretender" or something to that effect. It sounded vaguely like The Prodigy but I'm not sure.

UNKNOWN 2: This is an excellent track with samples from Ken Russell's The Devils including "Fornicator! Fornicator! Sacrilegious bitch!" Just for the record, it's not Skinny Puppy's "Fascist Jock Itch."

UNKNOWN 3: SOLVED! Aux 88 - "Man or Machine"

UNKNOWN 4: SOLVED! Razed In Black - "Caught" Thank you Lauren!

UNKNOWN 5: Its a really cool, fast-paced dance/techno (I so dislike using broad categories) remake of "Ukrainian Bell Carol." Any suggestions from anyone as to who it could have been? I found the song but only labeled as "Carol Of The Bells (Techno Remix)." There was a lot of buzz on the web about this track but few seem to attribute an artist. A few claim it's The Crystal Method but it doesn't appear as a track on their discography.

UNKNOWN 6 & 7: Don't know. It's all instrumental. This is one someone would have to identify by listening.

Beyond these, I was able to recognize or identify the list of songs. Here's the songlist for the curious among you and those who may want to make a playlist from it.

I wonder if #5 came from the Dark Noel album

Nope, but good guess. This version of "Carol of the Bells" is rather upbeat, all instrumental electronica. Any ideas?

Also, #4 might be Radiohead.

Nope. Definitely not Radiohead, but thanks for the suggestion! It was darker and more industrial. I'll post more lyrics probably tomorrow night.

Nope. No guitars, all synth. Rather fast electronica. Good guess though!

Nope. Good guess but this is definitely not it. The version I'm looking to identify is almost entirely synth. There are some bells but only faintly in the background.

Damn, I'd probably have to hear them to have second guesses.

YES! Thank you so much! There's one down and five to go. I'll try to get sample clips of the unknowns up at some point.
