Life In A Northern Town

Just a few quick updates:

• Still waiting on the name change. The court deposited the check, but I haven't heard yet on a hearing date. Hopefully I'll hear soon.
• We're moving again in three weeks, and then we'll have a phone and reliable internet access. Yay!
• We're both on vacation the second full week of August, and we'll be spending time hanging out with quantumswordsmn, chenoachem and Helena. Double Yay! ^_^
• My first reimbursement came in for therapy, so I know now for certain that it qualifies. It's a love/hate thing, really, because yeah I get reimbursed, but the money reimbursing me still came from my check and I still had to pay for my therapy out of pocket, but at least the money is withdrawn from my check in smaller chunks weekly and I get it back the week after the session. Now if only the insurance companies *glares at Anthem BCBS* would cover these sorts of expenses I wouldn't have to worry about it. *glares at Anthem BCBS*
• I want to go swimming. If the weather permits, I think that's what we'll do this weekend. I've only been swimming once this summer. Hey painted_wolf, wanna go swimming this weekend?

I keep forgetting to ask, and I probably missed the original post - but what are you changing your name to? And how many times am I allowed to mess up and call you by your old name before I stop being forgiven for it?

It should be really easy, because I'm only changing my middle and last names. ;) My first name will stay Jamie. I'm taking Kathy's last name and changing my middle name to Amanda, so...

When I was considering my name change, I was trying to come up with a middle name so I would keep the same initials. We weren't sure at the time if I was taking Kathy's name, she was taking mine, or we were both keeping our own last names. So I figured if I stayed with a middle name that started with A. I wouldn't have to change much if any of my documents. Most places only ask for middle initial. Amanda just sounded nice to me and it flowed well between my first and last names. :)
