Not much going on. I'm starting back at the laundry doing maintenance tomorrow. The laundry maintenance wasn't getting done properly, which is a bad thing.I know how to do it all, since that's what I used to do there. I liked working for Sheridan. So I made an offer. He took it. He gets proper maintenance (which is so far behind it's not funny - we're talking full-time week getting back on track!) and I get an extra paycheck every week, even if it's not much. Mostly it's an offer because he's been a huge help to Kathy and me so the least I can do is help him with maintenance. But the extra cash is nice, too.
It looks like I'll likely have four jobs over the summer. We'll see. Things are going to pick up a little at PDG soon so I may not want to over-committ yet.
I finally restored Kathy's custom Gallery on her site and it's a nice, seamless application. I'm rather proud. Now let's see if I can do the same for her osCommerce install when I get around to that. Certainly that will prove a much bigger challenge. Gallery is cake to customize. osCommerce isn't so easy, especially to the extent I'm thinking. But I can't deny I'll enjoy every geeky second of it.
I should be watching some anime right now. I think I will.
I'm also going to get working on that GURPS horror game based on the Usher II story from "The Martian Chronicles." I'm loving the irony of getting gamers to play ultra-conservative anti-fantasy characters. Talk about challenge! Let's see how they fare against the wits of Poe and Bradbury. Teehee. I want to run it before the end of the month since the story was set on Mars in April 2005. I was going to run it at EconoCon but alas I lacked the time to prepare.
