The day started out relaxed and nice enough. I recorded that new bit of guitar that I posted earlier and got ready for the day. Then we got a late start leaving which was a bit stressful but not unusual. I used to be so punctual. I prided myself on it... *sigh*
I went for my check (first full-time paycheck, yay!) and deposited it. Then we went to WalMart. Oh. My. Stars. It was swarming with customers (mostly tourists/seasonals I think) and for some reason visiting associates from other WalMarts. It was packed and we seemed to be finding all the annoying people that stop in the middle of the aisle so none shall pass. All we wanted was some new undies, but it was so absolutely frustrating to get them! We did end up getting "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "John Carpenter's Vampires" out of the $5 bin, so that was awesomeness. :) We grabbed a quick lunch and got in line, where all kinds of rudenes and grumbliness and mayhem ensued. I tried to be nice by getting out of an elderly woman's way only to bump some woman's cart and she just wouldn't stop griping about it the rest of the time we were waiting. Sheesh. Give it a rest, lady.
So anyway, running late I dropped Kathy off at the laundry and headed for Ang's as quick as can be. I got there a half-hour late. :( I ended up installing the sound card in her computer and got her sound working again (yay!) so we decided to go shopping at Goodwill. We even stopped for cool beverages on the way back. Oooooooo, mango passion fruit smoothie. By the way, medium is not medium. It's huge!
Hanging out with Ang seriously made my day. I was absolutely frazzled and ready to flip out, but hanging out with Ang made me all zen again because I could completely be myself.
After that I headed into work and managed to get a bunch of stuff done, which is good. Tomorrow is a wedding and maybe some gaming on Sunday, so weeeeeeeeeeeee!
Hopefully at some point we'll get to watch the last of Doctor Who season 3, finish Venture Brothers season 2 (well, for me it's just one episode but for Kathy it's most of it) and watch some Christopher Walken. Should be fun!
