Aw... I'm sorry, hon. Little critters like that are such a joy and you were very very good people for taking care of him rather than leaving him to the mercies of the wild (which are, for the most part, nonexistant.)
Thank you. We tried our best, but from what I understand of chipmunks it's very difficult to care for them so that they live a long time in captivity. The stress usually gets to them, which is what I suspect happened here.
Thank you. He was a cute little bugger. I am still amazed that he came right up to Lonewolf and Kathy that day we found him. It was as if he knew we would help him and came to us to ask.
Yes. It's just a bit sad because we all thought he was doing so well. I can only suspect the stress of living in captivity got to him or there were injuries we just couldn't see. I hope he is resting peacefully now and that we did well for him while he was here.
