Bad Cover

By the way, while hanging out at the laundry waiting for Kathy to finish work, I heard the new cover of "Under Pressure" by a couple of the fashionable "pop punk" (that term still makes me queesy) bands. IT SUCKED! Okay, I realize it's hard to compare to David Bowie and Queen, but there was little feeling in the song. That's a song that needs more than just a little barely-out-of-our-teens-and-rich angst.

Must shower before work. Gotta go.

I have it if you want to listen to it. It's pretty bland as a cover though, nothing really original added, and not even a 'good' emulation.

hehe, yeah right. But how could they ever compare to David Bowie? He is the only Goblin King that I know of, which makes him awesome in my book.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a copy of the Flaming Lips doing a live cover of Under Pressure that doesn't suck...I mean if I can find it amongst my plethora of cover tunes.

I would love to hear it. I like the Flaming Lips and I can definitely believe them doing a non-sucking cover of this particular song.
