LJ Interests meme results

1. being outside:
   I love being outdoors but find I have only had little moments outdoors recently on weekends. Not only is it a matter of time, but there's also the whole EEE scare.
2. computers:
   I have a pin that sums up my hate part of the love-hate relationship:
   "Computers PISS ME OFF." But really I have fun with them, too, though not as much as I used to. I miss the days of leisure programming and four-voice chorale in BASIC.
3. electric guitar:
   I am so jonesing to play guitar in a band again. Seriously! I've been bit by the songwriting bug again and the new Spin Doctors album is also inspiring me.
4. genesis:
   What a great band gone bad. The decline really started in 1975 when Peter Gabriel left, and them even further when they axed Steve Hackett.
5. indie music:
   I LOVE indie music, especially local stuff. People, there's so much good local music in your area. Go out and find it! Don't rely on the RIAA to bring you the occasional gem or decent to mediocre act.
6. live music:
   And while you're at it, go out and watch your favorite local bands!
7. percussion:
   I miss the days of haning out at Hampshire Music/Cheshire Music and having percussion jams with Nate and/or Doug. That was so much fun!
8. public access television:
   It's what I do for work and I love it! It's the embodiment of first amendment free speech.
9. sharp cheddar:
   Tasty! Especially in omelets and on chili.
10. trans siberian orchestra:
    Otherwise known as Savatage. Great band with heavy classical influence to their metal sound. And unlike Metallicaca, they actually got the whole metal band with a symphony orchestra sounding good, and they did it before those lame-ass hacks!

Items of Great Amusement

Thanks to my many friends, I have found a few things that have made me chuckle and/or laugh my ass off. Here are a couple:

MEGA64 is a hilarious spoof site full of public access videos making fun of video games. Gotta love it! Again I must extol the virtues of public access television. Thanks fossilapostle!

Clothes that clashed a bit too much! This wasn't directly brought to my attention by a friend, but rather as a comment refering to a comment by sambear in fossilapostle's post. If it weren't for the whole danger of spontaneous combustion I might like to try this myself!
