So because the bank closed early today, we were without gas money until late in the evening when we borrowed some from Kathy's boss. He's cool like that. It's not that we didn't have money, just that we couldn't access it. I'm beginning to regret refusing the debit card when I opened the account, but knowing me and my history with debit cards, I still think we're better off not having it.

Regardless, the day brought some interesting moments being stuck in Plymouth with nothing to do. I got to visit Lonewolf at Subway. He bought a new Jeep to replace his big ol' Chevy pickup. The transfer case went on him while they were driving to the airport for vacation a couple weeks agoand he had to ditch it at his parents' house. His dad has an affection for the truck so he bought it off Lonewolf for $500. In return Lonewolf took some cash from savings and financed a nice '97 Jeep that is super sweet and in great condition.

I also got to visit Bert. He's going to be closing down Stones and Sterling but he's paid his rent through something like the next four years as part of the sale of the building when he sold it to the current owner. So he's looking to possibly sublet the space to recover his rent. Kathy and I have been tossing around the idea of starting a gaming store in Plymouth and with this potential super-cheap retail space opening up right on South Main Street between a Chinese restaurant and a pizzareia, how can we resist. It would be like a college gamer paradise. We're looking at using our tax refunds and some initial out-of-pocket cash and savings to stock the store initially, which is entirely feasible since the space is seriously no larger than a 15x15 room. It's perfect for a start-up gaming store. If we find we do well enough then we can upgrade to a larger space with playing area. The bonus is we can offer the PSU Gaming Club members a 10% discount and offer the club an even better discount at the end of the school year when they use the budget to buy more stuff for the club library. Also we're going to carry some quality European board games like Rio Grande and others that are more family-oriented so we don't have to rely solely on a niche hobby. People in Plymouth love to spend on their children more than anything. Of course we'll also stock the usual stuff like dice.

I can't wait. I hope everything works out on this. I think this is a good investment. I certainly have the time right now considering my limited and quite flexible schedule with PCC3 and lack of work at PDG.

Well, I should get going. Kathy and I are going to watch some more Hellsing before bed.
