Okay, three bad posts in a row, so now I need to be less depressing. Good stuff hapened, too!

[profile] ciliandis unfortunately didn't get her double-shift at work, but lucky for us it meant a surprise visit. Yay! She, [personal profile] pyrbennu, [profile] painted_wolf and I sat around the laundry for a bit while our clothes finished drying. After that we all went to grab a quick bite to eat. That was around the time I took the four Advil.

After dinner we all went to WalMart. pyrbennu wanted to find new shoes to go with her new dress. We all wanted to look at DVDs. We did the obligatory dig through the $5 bin of DVDs and found some good stuff. The special edition of "The Doors" was in there, as well as "The Lost Boys." [personal profile] pyrbennu tried on a couple pairs of shoes but didn't find anything that interested her to go with her new dress. She did find some nice red patent leather open-toed pumps but didn't buy them after all. [profile] ciliandis saw this file cage in the wedding stuff and couldn't resist: she grabbed a baby doll from the toy section and stuck it in the cage as an homage to the Lemony Snicket books. It was awesome! It was too awesome to undo, so we left it.

We just sorta wandered and played with stuff, like the silly pillows that looked like hats. We had fun plotting a secret society based on the odd, knobbed hats while [personal profile] pyrbennu looked at new sheets. She refused to join us. No silly hat for her! :P While there [profile] painted_wolf and I realized that we should buy new pillows because ours were... well, it was long past time for new pillows.

Then we went to the clothing section where [personal profile] pyrbennu found a Decepticon shirt and fell in love with it. She decided she must have it and it made her very happy. painted_wolf and I bought some gelato and we all went out into the parking lot as the store was closing and had a little sit-down and conversation on the tailgate of my pickup. It was really nice to just sit and talk on such a beautiful night.

Then we decided to leave when, as the WalMart employees were locking up, we heard over the walkie-talkies something about some guy there. We didn't hear all of it but we heard "... chemicals... *insert words we didn't hear*... don't know what happened to him..." We had fun imagining the vinegar was placed in the aisle next to the baking soda and some shmuck accidentally knocked over the vinegar and there was a huge fake volcno eruption in aisle 4. We had fun scheming on that for a bit. "Someone bring paper machet and food coloring quickly!!!" "I r mount saint helenz, erupting in yr storz. LOLZ!"

So we went downtown to leave [personal profile] pyrbennu at her apartment (she was getting very sleepy) and the rest of us sat around in the common enjoying the night. [profile] painted_wolf and [profile] ciliandis did some drawing. We all chatted and graoned at the loud and very off-key karaoke coming from Jose's across the street. At one point we all started howling. *chuckles* There were a couple young women working on a window display at the hair/tanning salon (at midnight? WTF?!). It was hilarious because at one point the police drove by and were very obviously checking the women out, complete with slowing the car down and watching them intently as they were bending over to put things in the front window. At some point it was like the driving officer realized that we were in the common and his head whipped around like "Oh, right! Work! Umm... did I just see people in the common?" I just had to giggle.

[profile] ciliandis loaned us books 3 and 4 of A Series of Unfortunate Events so I have plenty of reading to do. :D In the meantime, I have work. Hopefully we're going to hang out with [profile] ciliandis and [personal profile] pyrbennu again tonight!

That was a very, very lovely evening, and thank you again for it. I'm debating how much gas money I have, right now ... I can probably come up tonight, but I won't be able to spend much besides for the gas. >_<

Don't worry about spending money. If you can make it, great! If not I'll completely understand. If you do make it, I have games and we can find other things to do sans money. :)

Well, right now it really is hinging on the fact that I poured $15 for gas into the truck last night, and wasn't even really able to do that without stretching things. It's been a slow week, and I still have to pay my Dad. I'm kinda torn between wanting to get out of the house and shake this awful mood I've been in since morning, and being able to afford to keep the truck in gas.

Right now, I'm actually gonna talk to Al for a little bit, so hopefully she'll be able to help me put some perspective on things.

Well, absolutely do not stretch yourself too thin to come up. There's always another time or we could come down some other day. We got to hang out last night, so that was very nice. Hopefully you'll be in a better mood after talking with Al. Please let her know I say hello! :D
