If you are also looking to get a SCSI Zip drive working on a MacSE, here's my advice:
1. Download the Iomega Zip Package v4.2 and Iomega Driver v4.2 from Mac Driver Museum using anoth web-enabled Mac with a floppy drive.
2. Save both items onto a single 1.4MB floppy (newer Macs don't recognize the old 800K format but only SE FDHDs will recognize the 1.4MB format).
3. Install the Iomega Zip Package first.
4. Drag the Iomega Driver to you Extensions folder in you System Folder. You have to do this because Iomega's installer doesn't seem to do this for you. If you don't, the SE will only recognize your Zip disk until you shut off the computer and then you have to run and quit the installer each subsequent time you turn on your SE. If you manually add the extension to your System Folder, things work as they should.
5. Don't leave a disk in when you start your SE. Even with the proper drivers installed it will give you the bomb.
