A friend/co-worker was involved in a harsh accident tonight. He's an awesome guy and I can't begin to fathom what he must be going through right now. He was returning to the laundry in the company truck from Center Harbor when a kid on a motorcycle going way too fast lost control of his bike. R did his best to avoid an accident, including trying to flip the truck out of the way, but the kid hit and hit hard. The kid died instantly upon hitting the truck windshield.

I hope R is okay, but I know he's not. Nevermind the fact that he admitted he's not taking it too well, how could he? That's not something I could imagine handling even nearly as well as he has. I would have been so paralyzed with what had just happened that I wouldn't have wanted to drive home. But he did.

If you are a spiritual person, please keep my friend and the young man who died in your prayers. They and their families could use the prayers.

My mind is just blown at the moment. I apologize if this seems a bit down or awkward, but It seems so surreal.

Thoughts and good vibes to you and him both, my man.

That truly does suck for everyone involved. Hopefully its not anyone I know, not that that makes it any better but we always hope that it isn't anyone we know.

That's kinda how I felt when I heard about it. That and worried about R's well being.

He could certainly use them. My friend is always in a great mood and usually finds the bright side to any problem or at least approaches things optimistically. Today he was just so down and dragging that it pained me a great deal to know he was that way. I've never seen him so low and drained emotionally.

I don't think you knew either person. R started at the laundry around the time I started on maintenance. The kid on the bike was a PSU junior from Durham.
