I'm falling more and more back in love with playing guitar and songwriting, which is a good thing. This time, I have a special treat for all my droogies: sound clips!

I was noodling around and started writing a song. Take a listen to the clips that I set up here. Any peeps that think they can mack on my kool-aid, though, best step off. I am hanging on to the rights to these sound clips. So there! :P Pardon the sound quality but it was recorded on my iMac with a crummy old microphone. Yuck!

But anyhow, this frst clip is probably going to be the "main riff," as it were. I like it. I played it on my classical because it's currently the one with best strings that doesn't have more than six strings. I'm thinking eventually it will be played on my strat with just a bit of fuzz. Take a listen (needs QuickTime).

"main riff"

This second riff sounds to me like a good closing comp. It's using shifting chord patterns and voice leading over an A pedal tone, which I'm fond of doing. Pedal tones rock my world!

"closing riff"

What do y'all think? I'm hopefully going to complete this one. And a few others. And if I can get my hands on a copy of Digital Performer (yeah right) I'm going to start recording some stuff. For listening. For my friends.Maybe even to make some cash, also. But not off my friends. Off the other peeps. Except those who I mentioned that might try to mack on my kool-aid.

Perhaps I should worry more about sleep.
