I didn't really want to add this stuff to the other post because I wanted a clear separation between the weekend and just stuff in general. So here goes...

I've heard the new System of a Down song (BYOB) a couple times now and I really have to say I like it. I like it a lot. I really like the anti-war sentiments. I like the music, too. It was a very interesting mix of their usual metal sound, pop sensibilities and death metal (which I guess the young-uns are calling screamo these days). I still think the new NIN sucks major ass, but the new System of a Down is very promising.

Some of you may recall I posted about my vehicle troubles. While I was under the van fixing the starter I noticed wear on the inside of my front passenger-side tire. Bad wear. Really bad. I thought it was odd it was really only on one tire but immediately started thinking it was a bad alignment. Well, after talking with Sheridan and doing a little poking and proding, I'm pretty well convinced I have a nearly dead ball joint. So now let's all give many thanks to Creator or whatever you believe in that the thing didn't give out on me driving to or from Nashua. Ugly, nasty human roadkill happens when ball joints give out on interstates at speeds around 75-80 miles per hour. I mean... 65 miles per hour. Yeah. It's getting pretty bad because the loose motion of the tire is causing things to get really grumbly. It's going in the shop this week, even if we have to pay rent a week late to make it happen. Something like that can't be put off. I'd do it myself but I'd have to buy a couple new tools and find a good place to do the work, but then the money spent in the tools and then bringing it to the garage anyway afterward for an alignment would exceed the cost of parts and labor to have the garage do all the work for me. Some day I may buy some pullers but for now I'll just pay the mechanic.

Some things you just can't put off...

"Do I pay rent or become a roadside Pollock?" The choice is clear. I never really cared for Pollock anyhow.

How could I forget this little gem?! I've started back into eating healthy. Over the weekend, even though I didn't entirely stick to the plan, I managed to lose three pounds. I attribute some of that to loss of water weight now that I'm drinking mad amounts of water regularly, but still I'm proud to be losing again.

I'll most likely be working on a redesign of my site tonight so you may see a new look soon for my personal site. Either way I hope to resurrect the weight loss progress bar in some form or another.
