So remember when I posted on June 27th that my car had blown a fuel pump and it was in the garage? Yeah. I just got it back Friday. Wee. I knew I should have had it towed home. The bonus is it cost less than expected and I'm back on the road in my own vehicle. The bad news is I went two weeks without my own vehicle. It's back now. I'm happy.

Work is about the same. I show up. I do stuff. I go home. I'm happy for the most part with work. I just wish I had a more permanent and reliable income. 40 hours a week at one place would be a big boost to our personal finances. Health benefits would be an added bonus. It's been almost ten years now since I've seen any sort of health benefits from an employer.

On that topic, I cleaned up my CPAP , got some distilled water and started using it again finally. It was so good to get almost a full night of restful sleep!

It's only three weeks until we fly out to New Mexico for a week to help [livejournal.com profile] quantumswordsmn and [livejournal.com profile] chenoachem move, plus visit Kathy's mom.

Yesterday on the way back from Nashua Kathy and I had a bit of an argument so we decided when we got home that we needed to have some fun together and enjoy the rest of the day. We went to see War of The Worlds. It was excellent! I highly recommend it! There were a couple little things that bugged us (which I won't divulge since I want you to see it without spoilers) but overall it was a great interpretation. One thing I will tell you is not to go into this expecting it to be just like the book. It's not. It's the telling of the same situation in modern times in a different place, but there are characters that you will recognize. The tripods were incredibly well done, and their death ray was just awesome! Tom Cruise actually acted in this, which was pretty amazing in and of itself. Yeah. Go see it. Then we'll talk. Kathy and I agree it's one of the best alien invasion movies to come out in a long time.

Crimson Moon is still fun. Our clan (Reign of Fury) ended up merging with The Lupine. A few of us real life friends had been talking in secrecy of eventually splitting and starting our own clan not because we were unhappy but rather because we wanted to experience that part of the game. Then the merger came, so it expedited our plans. And we had secret investors from other members of RoF who were going along with the merger. And our complete identities weren't revealed until last minute when we finally made the arrangements to take over the shell of the old RoF. So fittingly we called our clan The Illuminati. We went from having just us five members less than a week ago to over 20 members now and growing fast. So we're having fun.

Well, I've got to work. Have a wonderful day and hopefully I'll be posting a bit more regularly again. I promise I'll read blogs later. And yes, [livejournal.com profile] quantumswordsmn, I will ressurect Quote of the Day. I'll keep my ears alert for any interesting quotes during my daily grind.
